Racanelli Construction Goes Red for Women in Support of National Wear Red Day

Feb 20, 2024

Racanelli Construction Company, Inc., recently showed its support of the American Heart Association’s Heart Month which is held in February each year. Racanelli employees wore red on the first Friday of February, National Wear Red Day, and the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” Day.

Cardiovascular disease, including heart disease and strokes, is the number one cause of death in women. During American Heart Month, the American Heart Association asks women and men alike to join it and its Nation of Lifesavers™ by wearing red to help raise awareness, spreading the word on social channels using the tags  #HeartMonth and #WearRedandGive, and taking other steps to help save lives. These include learning hand-only CPR, knowing important health numbers such as blood pressure, joining in research studies, and practicing self-care.

Racanelli Construction has been a longstanding supporter of the American Heart Association. The company’s President,  Nicholas H. Racanelli, served as a Board Member for over 30 years. He was previously appointed Board Chairman for the American Heart Association’s Northeast Division and remains active in an advisory role.

The participation of Racanelli Construction’s employees in National Wear Red Day and “Go Red for Women” Day exemplifies the company’s commitment to the American Heart Association and its  broader mission, “to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier  lives.”
