LI construction firm recognized for job safety

Melville-based Racanelli Construction Company has been recognized for job safety by a national trade organization. 

The company achieved the 2022 Platinum Level for safety by the Associated Builders and Contractors. This is the second straight year that Racanelli has achieved the recognition, which designates the company as exhibiting a continued commitment to jobsite safety and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be at the highest level by the ABC National Health and Safety Committee, according to a company statement. 

Racanelli Construction’s company-wide safety initiatives are led by Douglas Winter, its director of safety. Winter’s role focuses on assuring the company’s compliance with workplace safety regulations and specifically those pertaining to the construction job site.  

Racanelli emphasizes ongoing safety training for its employees with the goal of accident prevention by keeping them informed of potential hazards and OSHA regulations for the construction industry, according to the company.
